LIFE IS A JOURNEY

Thinking back on the journey I’ve been on ever since I committed my life to Jesus, I realize it has been almost 44 years since that day. I remember vividly walking forward in a crowd with my husband, Bruce, “putting our heads above the crowd” as he said, surrendering my life and myself to the Jesus I had always believed in but never knew personally in the way I began to know Him that day.

What an amazing journey it has been. Jesus has walked with me through many trials, many very hard life lessons, many losses, and also many gains. Jesus has been my all in all for all those years, and He has molded me more and more each day into His image and helped me to change into a better person.

Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not saved because I’m a good person or a better person or a changed person. I’m saved because of what Jesus did on the cross and because I made the decision to accept that, believe that, follow Him, and commit my life to Him, to commit my life to serving Him.

Jesus said in John 14:6 (ESV), I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6
