I am intrigued by opinions some people seem to have about Jesus. Comments such as “my Jesus isn’t like that” when referring to whether or not a person will be welcomed into heaven when they leave this earth. This is usually followed by, “I believe…” or “My Jesus would…” or even, “My Jesus wouldn’t…”
~ So, my friend, I ask you, Can there be more than one Jesus? Can “your” Jesus be different than “mine”?
We all want to think we will go to Heaven when we die, don’t we? We all want to think that people we love will go to heaven when they die. Then we figure out reasons why we think our Jesus will accept that person.
Friend, Jesus stated that he is way, the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through him. There is a difference between knowing ABOUT Jesus, knowing who He is, and having a personal relationship with Him, following Him, and living for Him.
~ Is it up to us to decide how Jesus should accept us? Are we God? God is our Creator and we the creation can never be greater than Him!
God doesn’t accept us based on what we’ve done or how “good” we lived our life but on what His Son Jesus did for us on the cross. If we don’t accept what Jesus did on the cross, realizing our need for a Savior to save us from our sins, if we don’t read His word, follow His commands and live our lives the way the Bible tells us to, we cannot expect to be welcomed into Heaven.
It’s not about anything we’ve done (our “works”). Isaiah 64:6 reminds us that “all our deeds of righteousness are like filthy rags.” Whether or not we are welcomed into Heaven is based solely on what Jesus did for us on the cross and our acceptance of Him and of our need of His saving grace.

Galatians 6:7-8 states, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” ~ Be careful my friend that you are following after God so that you will reap all the blessings He has for you. Sometimes we have to say NO to our fleshly desires in order to please God and remain faithful to Him.
