There was a time in my life when I was searching for God‘s direction for which church he wanted my children and me to attend. I visited a church that friends of mine were attending, and I really loved it there, but it was farther from my home than the church I thought God would want me to go to, so I kept searching.

My heart kept drawing me to this particular church and it was only about 20-25 minutes from our home. It really wasn’t that far, but I still kept asking God to please show me where He wanted us to go, and my heart kept drawing me to that church.

This went on for about three years when finally one day I felt like I received a knock on my head saying “How long will it take for you to understand?” So I said to the Lord, “OK God, I got the message!! This is where you want my children and me to attend.” So we plugged in and continued to attend that church, because now it was settled in my heart and my mind that it was where God wanted us to be.

It was a wonderful church, and my children and I grew in our faith and in our walk with God. My children were involved in the youth group and the summer ministries, and it was just a wonderful place for us. God moved in mighty ways in our life as we attended, plugged in, served, and my children grew up.

So, if you’re struggling with knowing God‘s will for your life, keep at it and never give up, but realize he might just be knocking on your head showing you what was right in front of you but you were resistant to accept. Let him lead you into what he has for you and sit back and see how he moves and works in your life. You will be blessed!
